Svevo Romano
Digital Director

Svevo Romano - MAVO Studio London - New Media Director

Over the last ten years, Svevo has been cultivating an exciting career as a new media developer, animator, graphic designer and interactive media specialist. He has been involved in numerous projects: producing animated cartoons for Grundy (TV production company), RAI (Italian national TV network) and consulting on new media developments for COPA (Architectural Association).

In 2005, he moved from Naples to London to further his lifelong passion for technology and interactive media. Since then, he has worked as a designer / developer for Langland advertising, where he played an integral part in two multi award winning healthcare campaigns (including the 2006 RX Club of New York Award of Excellence, and the bronze 2007 IPA Best of Health Awards). More recently he has worked as a consultant for Apple.

Svevo has a strong design ethic based on functionality and the importance of striking a balance between what "looks good and what makes sense". As a member of the ODP (Open Directory Project) he values the "key aspects of web marketing strategies and maintaning web standards".

Marc Schaller
Creative Director

Marc Schaller - MAVO Studio London - Creative Director

Marc received a BA (Hons) in History of Art from the University of Leeds and an MA (with distinction) in Typo/Graphic Design from the London College of Printing.
He has exhibited art & design work across the UK and lectured in London and Berlin on good practices in design, branding and interactive communication.

With a decade of commercial experience in brand communication, graphic design and art direction, Marc's design work stretches across various creative disciplines including: brand identity, advertising, packaging, publishing and website design. He has designed brand identities, promotional graphics, packaging and web applications for well known clients including: ASDA, BBC, Boots, BP, Pfizer, Roche, Tesco and Unilever.

After stints as a designer and art director at several well known London agencies, including 4Creative (Channel Four), Marc joined Svevo in 2006 to set up Mavo.

Andrew Elia
Digital & Technical Consultant

Andrew Elia - MAVO Studio London - New Media & Technical Consultant

Andrew Elia is a technical visionary with a strong background in internet, mobile, desktop and embedded systems. Operating as a consultant within the media and finance sectors, Andrew has over a decade of experience of working with clients, helping them identify the most efficient methods of delivering and monetising technical innovation, content and information in a complex and shifting technical and commercial landscape.

Andrew's sound technical knowledge and excellent presentation skills make him an ideal ambassador for new technologies and developing businesses, where he has an established track record of growing sales through intelligent communication of client offerings.

Michael Selvadurai
Design Consultant

Michael Selvadurai - MAVO Studio London - Senior designer

Michael has a decade of professional experience in the design industry having worked for a variety of clients across market sectors on projects from brand identity, promotional print literature to website design and online marketing.

Although now London based, Michael spent five years learning his trade within Advertising and Brand Communication agencies in New York with Iguana Studios Inc., Globalworks and Oasis Advertising and in Helsinki with BBDO and Clay Network.

Michael has been commissioned to design campaigns for globally recognised brands including BBC Worldwide, BMW, BP, KODAK, Ernst & Young, Harper's Bazaar Magazine and Warner Brothers Entertainment Inc.

Christie Podioti
Designer & Illustrator

Christie Podioti - MAVO Studio London - Graphic Designer

In 2000, Christie moved to London, to receive a BA (Hons) in Typo/Graphic Design at the London College of Printing (after completing her studies in Graphic Design, Illustration, Freehand & Architectural Drawing in her home town of Athens). During the same period she began experimenting with typography, editorial design and printmaking, which she continues to practice today.

With 7 years of commercial experience, Christie has worked on all manner of print design projects; from brand identity, advertising, promotional graphics and editorial media to book & magazine design. She has also created bespoke illustrations for high-end fashion campaigns and children's literature.

Her previous client work includes design for well known brands such as Barclays, Nokia, Siemens, Corona, Pampers, Pfizer, Vicks and Kenco.
