As the year draws to a close, we’d like to thank all of our loyal clients (and several new ones) for what’s proved to be a great 2008. We’ve been steadily expanding our pool of clients and have worked on a vast mix of web, print and interactive projects… Pivotal moments for Mavo this year have been: Presenting a talk on branding and web design at the ESCRS Congress in Berlin, designing an award winning report for Berry Bros & Rudd, designing bespoke packaging and marketing media for Sugar Puffs (as a part of a larger PR campaign) and of course welcoming CBRE into the fold as a new client. So here’s to an equally successful and creative 2009.

Next year we’ll be giving our website a facelift, but until then, keep checking back here for updates and alike… and just to keep those insatiable design addicts happy, we’ve included our freshly conceived logo designs for e-LPT’s new look brand identity, and fledgling law firm Cooke, Young & Keidan (watch this space for more news of their websites to be launched in Jan – March ‘09).
We are delighted to announce the launch of the new microsite we have designed and developed for Playhard Promotions. This month we have also been busy working on a healthcare branding project for Ketchum PR. Plus, we’d like announce a new client that has been welcomed into the Mavo nest, e-LPT. A pioneering energy saving lighting company e-LPT have commissioned us to design their new brand identity and company website which will be launched early in the new year.

This month, we’ve been putting the finishing touches to the CBRE magazine. Once it’s been sent to print we’ll upload a few sample pages to our portfolio so you can check out what a “directional and lighthearted” corporate magazine looks like.
Our interactive department has been especially busy over the past few weeks. We’re currently developing a micro-site for Playhard promotions and have several potential new business opportunities within the healthcare, media and environmental sectors, more news of which we’ll have in next months update.
Busy as ever… over the last month Mavo have been working on a corporate magazine for CBRE, copywriting and designing powerpoint templates for Medeuronet and putting the finishing touches to the Designer Therapy e-commerce store.
Better still, on the back of several successful print and web design campaigns for Frank PR (for renowned brands such as SlimFast, Sugar Puffs and Npower) we’ve now become their “design agency of choice”, so we look forward to helping them launch many more successful pr and marketing campaigns.
Mavo are to take part in the annual ESCRS Congress, in Berlin. Our Creative Director, Marc Schaller will be talking to start up companies on brand communications, current trends in web 2.0 and web marketing. For further details about other talks we’ll be doing throughout the year please feel free to contact the studio.
In other news, our recently designed and developed e-store for Designer Therapy Menswear is due to “go-live” within the end of the year.
Music events & promotions company Play Hard Promotions recently commissioned us to design a new look brand identity as the company faces expansion. We designed them a unique “yoyo-on-fire” icon to be used across marketing and interactive media as the new leitmotif of the company.
Mavo have also completed new brand identities for two new companies. Fledging online company HUBBUB and Medeuronet, a business to business agency (specialising in the healthcare sector) who both came to Mavo for branding, web design and consultancy.

We’ll keep you posted on news of our web and interactive design for both companies as they grow later in the year. In the meantime, you can check our portfolio for a more comprehensive view of our branding work.

We’ve also recently put the finishing touches to a micro-site for Samson Films to further the marketing of their award winning film “Eden”. To see what all the fuss is about you can find out here.
As we mentioned in our March news update, Mavo were commissioned to design a high-end report for Berry Bros & Rudd (Wine merchants). We’re pleased say, the report, authored by our client, has proved to be a success across the UK; with content widely recognised in the national press. We hope that our elegant design added clarity and interest to such original subject matter.

We’ve recently completed the first phase of re-branding Henry Stewart Talks’ brand identity. Likewise, our designs for the audio academic publishers’ website has produced positive feedback (especially from their web development team). As such, we’ll be helping them every step of the way with designs and design consultancy before their new site goes live next month.

2008 is proving to be a busy year, with our second e-commerce website well under way, we’ve also been busy in the print design department. Over the past few weeks we’ve designed a brand identity for KAM Communications PR, put the finishing touches to two healthcare campaign brochures for Great Comebacks (see samples below) and we’re now in the middle of a high-end booklet design for Berry Bros & Rudd (Wine merchants). Further details of the latter and related images will be uploaded next month.

Mavo are also assisting on an interior design pitch to convert a Grade 2 listed building into a bar and restaurant (on the back of a successful brand identity design we designed for FuBar last year). Watch this space for further developments on this project.

In time for the official launch of “Eden”, the latest feature film by Samson Films, Mavo have designed some eye catching (landscape and portrait) posters which will be displayed at select cinemas throughout the year.
We’ve also been busy in the web development department. After creating a new brand identity for YourBoom, we’re putting the finishing touches to the design and development of their boutique e-commerce store. To check out their latest range of bespoke speaker systems or just for a nose around please visit: http://www.yourboom.co.uk.
Earlier this month, as part of the Department of Transport’s new bus pass initiative (to launch in April) Mavo have produced a “campaign support banner” for a high profile government pr event.
