Brand logo design
A brand logo is one of the primary ways to identify a company and/or organisation. We believe an effective logo should do any or all of the following: represent the values or services of your company, give identity to your business or organisation, help an audience identify (and remember) your business or organisation.
We've designed logos for world renowned brands such as Danone, Herceptin and Hovis and for many smaller companies too. Whether you'd like to launch an in-house brand or to modernise an already existing brand, our experienced team will take your logo brief from concept through to final print and screen ready design.
Case Study | Standing out from the crowd
Client: Playhard Promotions
Playhard promotions are a contemporary music production and events company. They commissioned a brand logo to help promote awareness of their brand within an industry that is already saturated with images.
To begin, it was clear that if Playhard was to be seen as a recognisable brand it needed an "idea" to help it stand out from the crowd. The "play" in the words "play hard" was something that was cited as a key attribute of the brand; they play music (at live events), they play with creative ideas (when recording artists), they entertain audiences and help client's "play and have fun". There was also a more "edgy" urban side to the brand; they represented various urban recording artists, they held events in some of London's "coolest bars and nightclubs" etc.
These two key themes: "edgy" and "playful" paved the way for a series of icon ideas.
We locked into two key concepts from this set to and combined with typography worked to make them into more vibrant, three dimensional designs.
Finally, a concept was chosen by the client and applied to mixed media for colour and clarity proofing.
